Andrew was the Director of Legal Services in the Australian Customs Service and was responsible for the provision and co-ordination of all legal advice to the Australian Customs Service, other than litigation advice.
Andrew has also worked for Allen Allen & Hemsley, KPMG Legal and Corrs Chambers Westgarth on corporate and commercial matters and international trade law. Andrew has represented major corporations and foreign governments in anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations and other international trade matters. He also has acted for clients in mergers & acquisitions, project financing, initial public offerings, capital raisings on the stock exchange and advised on corporate governance issues, as well as on a wide variety of commercial agreements such as joint ventures, distribution agreements and procurement agreements.
Andrew was appointed to the International Monetary Commissions' Panel of Experts as an expert in customs law and administration and as a Consultant to the Australian Law Reform Commission's review of Australia's customs legislation.
Andrew has taught international trade law and customs law at a number of universities in Australia including University of Technology Sydney and Sydney University Law School.
